I’m on a personal mission to “bring back butter” by creating a pedal-operated mechanism that churns butter and toasts bread. It’s basically a modified bicycle that hooks up to an old table-top butter churn. It also has a generator that powers a toaster. After churning, participants enjoy fresh butter on warm toast. I plan to set the machine up outside of art openings and other public events and get people to pedal while enjoying the fruit of their labor.
Basically, I’m trying to raise the funds to purchase the equipment to build the machine. I’m doing this through Kickstarter’s website. I thought you might be interested in either plugging my project on your site or supporting it yourself. This is not a business venture for me in any way. In fact, I’m barely making enough money to build the machine and will have some money to purchase ingredients for each event. The trick is if I don’t raise the full amount required to build the project by Jan. 11, 2010 I won’t receive any of the money raised.
